Everything ABC's Blog Hop - Letter S

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!
For this hop we will be featuring the letter "S".
This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.
Whatever the crafter has chosen as their "element"
will be featured in their post.
then you're on the right track! The blog is a complete circle, if you started here you can work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find a complete list of participants at the bottom of Catherine's blog.
I cannot wait to see all the "S" inspired expressions of creativity. My "S" is for the September Stamp of the Month. One of my all time favorites!  Every month Close to My Heart promotes a special D size stamp set that you can get for $5 when you order $50 in Close To My Heart products.  The SOTM for September is "Blessed Beyond Measure" a set of 19 stamps. I feel so very blessed and grateful for God's love and grace - He is forever faithful.

I Used Desert Sand to random stamp "Blessed" in 3 generations.  The leaves are cut with the Artbooking CTMH cartridge Pg. 72 at 2" and 1 1/2", watercolored, stamped, crumpled and covered with Shimmer using our new Shimmer Brush.  I also used our new poppy colored ribbon from the Whimsy Ribbon Pack and the jute ribbon from Rustic Home Ribbon Pack.  The bow was created by pulling apart the jute ribbon.  I love this card and hope it will soon be a blessing to a friend.  I enjoy making cards, though slow to send them, so I'm now acknowledging my hording tendencies and publicly committing to sending a card or two each week.

I also used this stamp set in two other blog hops.
For the CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog hop, I created this card.
For the CTMH Technique Blog Hop, I created a small one page mini album with pockets, I've since added a couple small flip flaps creating even more room for additional comments/photos.

Cover
(Paper from the retired Florence Paper Pack)
Gold Ribbon from our new Uptown Ribbon Pack

Your next stop on our Everything ABC's blog hop is Lauren Moore of CTMH Craftings.  I hope you've enjoyed the inspiring creations along the way.  I really do read the comments, so would love to get some feedback and encouragement .
Maybe for letter "T" you would like to join us?  If you are interested in checking out the monthly SOTM you can find them each month on my CTMH website HERE.

National Stamping Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the CTMH National Stamping Month Blog Hop!
We will be featuring this month's Constant Campaign,
Create Happiness.

Celebrate National Stamping Month this September by making hand-stamped cards to create a little more kindness in the world!  Our Create Kindness card kit contains all of the supplies you'll need to create 24 beautiful handmade cards, with sentiments perfect for brightening someone's day!
If you came here from Haley Dyer ~ The Inky Scrapper you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, the list of participants can be found HERE

This month we have approximately 22 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using the Create Kindness Card Kit along with other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I decided to use the card kit to make a gift card holder - "card within a card".  The card base is Kraft paper, 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.  The 3X3 card envelope from the kit was decorated and used to hold the gift card and glued inside the card.  For the front of the card, I had fun cutting apart the premade 3X3 cards creating a geometric design.   The scalloped edge was created using a corner rounder,  and the scalloped circle and oval were cut using the retired Art Philosophy cricut cart.   The green ribbon is from the whimsy ribbon pack. The scalloped green circle and oval were cut from the new willow green paper found in the Adventure fundamental collection.

The "Have a Happy Day" and oval stamp are from the "True Love" stamp set. $7 from the sale of this stamp is donated to Operation Smile providing surgeries to repair cleft lips and palates in children.

Now "Hop" on over to Jacquelin Green of Paper Goodness to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! I like Poppy, so inked the Whimsy Sorbet patterned paper with Poppy ink.  The paper used for the smaller leaf and the 5 smaller leaves is from the Saffron paper from the Enchantment Fundamentals.. The leaves were "Cricut cut" using Artbooking according to the instructions found on the Blessed Beyond Measure carrier sheet instructions.  I added gold sequins with clear sparkles, a strip of gold shimmer trim, Rustic Home jute ribbon, and a strip of the Whimsey Sorbet paper with more Poppy ink and stamped with a pattern from the Flower Market Stamp background stamp set (chocolate). The 5 smaller leaves also have a texture stamped in chocolate.  The "paint strokes" are Stamped in Poppy - 3 generations using the Brushstrokes (C1608) stamp set.

My letter "R" inspiration is from the letter "R" on our new Flower Market Cricut Cartridge. Loving this cartridge!
I also often use Ribbons on my cards.

For this card I used the "R" key on the Flower Market Cricut cartridge pg. 14.  The tea pot (icon) and flowers (flowers 1) were cut at 1 3/4 the banner (title) at 2 1/4.  I used sea glass glitter paper, sea glass cardstock for the tea pot and the patterned paper from Whimsey (Juniper inked with sea glass - mini pigment pad) for the flowers, banner and "ribbon strip".  I also used the retired glacier thick twine for additional ribbon and topped the flowers with  clear sparkles.

Color Dare #207--Yellows Challenge

Oh OH! I thought this challenge closed Thursday night at midnight. It helps to read all directions.  Hmmm....novel thought!  I'll check tomorrow and get the NEW challenge done EARLY!!  Currently, I'm looking into joining more challenges since I will be working only 3 days a week this year. Giving me a partial retirement.  Wahoo!!!

Welcome back to another Color My Heart Color Dare challenge.

The challenge is to use the specified Close to My Heart colors to create something that you like.  If you don't have the CTMH colors yet you may substitute similar colors so you can still join in on the fun!  This week the challenge is to use all and only these featured colors: Saffron, Canary, White Daisy and Gold.

I love monochromatic so this was fun for me.

I used white daisy and stamped it with the background stamps from the new CTMH Flower Market Cricut Bundle using the leaves stamped in saffron one white daisy, dots stamped in canary on white daisy, and stripes stamped in saffron on saffron.  I also cut strips from the new fundamentals Whimsey canary and Enchantment saffron patterned paper.  The flower is 3 hand-cut "circles" using canary CS stamped with saffron, inked with the leaves texture, crumpled and distress-inked the edges.

My Florence Mini-Album with 6 pockets, and soon to have many more with the addition of Flip Flaps. (I'm currently out of state, working with limited resources while I travel with my hubby.)
The base of the mini album was made with one page of the  Florence Paper Pack.
Opening one page, you can see it has been expanded to 5 - 3X3 pages that can hold messages, photos, images and pockets as the lower 3X3 illustrates.  This is a work in progress and I'm curious to see how many 3X3 pages and will get by adding pockets and Flip Flaps  I also used the Florence Pocket zip strips and ready made pocket pages, cut to fit the mini album.  Our new Annual Inspirations book has an entire sections on pocket scrapbooking! Picture My Life watercolor cards, overlays and tabbed journaling cards.
For 12 X 12 layouts there are also Memory Protectors Pockets Plus.  My oh MY!  the choices and combinations are endless.

Now, hop on over to Jenifer Benner's blog to see what kind of fabulous art she's created.  Be sure to drop a comment, we enjoy the encouragement.  Enjoy the Hop!

My letter "Q" inspiration is from the letter "Q" on our new Flower Market Cricut Cartridge
I'm really enjoying the new Flower Market cricut cartridge,  Not only does it have tons of flowers, but also containers to use with them.  I used the jar cut from the velum, inked the edges, added water color for water in the jar and  White twine colored with Glacier ink (I'm traveling and didn't have Sea Glass with me - opps!)  I backed the jar with White Daisy and the White Daisy with the new Rustic Home Fundamentals and a touch of  Sea Glass glitter paper.
