Technique Hop - "Here Comes the Sun!"

Welcome to the CTMH

June Technique Blog Hop "Here Comes the Sun!"

This month there are 13 CTMH Makers using CTMH products in their artwork to create a variety of projects using the sunburst technique. This blog hop is a complete circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the artwork.
If you are coming from Danielle Wagner's Blog you are on the right track. If you get lost, you can find the list on the bottom of Melissa'a blog.
Here we go!
This is the best photo I could get
- using the Holographic paper
One card, different looks, depending on lighting.
The foil reflects purple/blue in this photo,
though is Rose Gold in person!

Items used:
"You are Enough Paper" and cardstock with Rose Gold Foil accents, Sangria CS.
so beautiful, though the holographic paper does not photo well!  It's absolutely delightful in person!

Two die cuts used:  The Layered Butterfly and Sunburst.
Holographic paper - looks Rose Gold on the card; I thought it was Sunbeam, since it looks more gold, though some photos show it reflects the purple/blue, it actually is  Majestic which does look blue in the catalogue. The mystery of lighting, even the one photo of the pink card took on a blue reflection.

I love the Sunburst/Starburst design [Same format, different name], Now with the CTMH die it's even even faster and easier! I cannot wait to see what others have done. If you do not have the die, you can create a similar Sunburst card with a contracting background found at Sylvia Ames' blog; She calls it a Starburst card

Now hop  on over to Brandi Robinson to see what kind of fabulous "Sunburst" techniques she's created. Be sure to drop a comment, we enjoy the encouragement.  I hope you enjoyed this hop.  If you see items you would like to purchase, contact your CTMH Maker or you can SHOP HERE.

Outdoor Borders Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

We will be featuring June's SOTM, which is Outdoor Borders, a set of 9 stamps.   If you came here from Haley's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog: HERE http://ifyoublingit.blogspot.com/p/stamp-of-month-blog-hop-list.html

This month we have approximately 16 Close To My Heart Makers sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

Having just completed the slimline blog hop last week, I found I'm fascinated by the challenge to design more slimline cards. This is what I came up with combining the slimline card format with this month's SOTM.  It's a great way to use up scraps of paper, cut them into 1/2 inch strips, stamped some with the SOTM and glued them starting with the full strip creating a large V then added an assortment of stripes, contrasting and color compatible until the entire front of the rectangle is covered, flip it over and trim off the extra.  The card base is 3 1/2 X 8 1/2, the next layer is Sangria cut at 3 3/8 X 8 3/8 the patterned paper "quilt" is cut at 3 1/4 X 8 1/4.

The 1/2 inch strips I used were cut from the Mix-in paper packet, "You are Enough", and Hillside Cottage paper pack including ZipStrips and the Sangria exclusive CS with rose gold foil accents.  I randomly arranged light against darker colors repeating as many of the 7 stamps that I could fit on the rectangle. The focus strip is the strip of word bubbles, stamped on White Daisy with Sangria ink, then masked to create the yellow around the stamped image using Spiced marmalade Distress Oxide, backed with more Sangria CS tearing along the edge for additional texture.  The thread is Mink twine.

Now hope on over to Becca-expressions' Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the June  SOTM is only available until June 30!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!
