March/April Catalog New Product Blog Hop

 

 CTMH has two catalogs:
#1) Bi-monthly: CTMH Catalog March/April is full of new products. This hop will show-case the new products from this newest bi-monthly catalog.

So many options and such lovely paper;  In "Full Bloom" is one of the most gorgeous paper packs I've seen!  
It's "knock me off my feet" gorgeous!  
I usually make cards, though know I will be using this paper for layouts and home decor also!

Lagoon,

Cutting instructions

Base of Card

  • Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 2 3/4″ from each end
  • Patterned Paper (layer): 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Cardstock (layer 1): 3 7/8″ x 3 7/8″
  • Cardstock (layer 2, optional): 4″ x 5 1/4″

Explosion Card

  • Patterned Paper: 4″ x 10 3/4″, score at 2 5/8″ from each long end
  • With the sides folded in, mark at 2″ on both 4″ sides
  • Keeping the sides folded, score from the 2″ mark to the center of the designer paper. Repeat for all four corners.

Greeting Insert

  • Daisy White cardstock: 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Mark 2 5/8″ at the top and bottom
  • Mark 1 7/8″ on each side
  • Cut to connect the marks to form a diamond

I love how the CTMH cardstock holds its shape to make 3-D flowers, has a white core, and is "two-toned" - light and dark tones/front and back.

Fun-fold card closed; 5 1/2 X 4 1/4

Stamp set used:
Thoughful Florals C1934

 Cardstock used:
Lagoon -dark side
Mocha -dark side
Mint- light side
French vanilla
1. Inked the French vanilla with Ink Oxides:
Peacock Feathers and Mowed Lawn
stamped and heat embossed with gold embossing powder 
the flower and leaves
2. Stamped the flowers on the mint with lagoon ink,
3. using the Botanical embossing folder
embossed the lagoon with the dark side up 
and sanded showing the white core.
4.  On the French Vanilla; gold embossed the front flowers.
Fussy cut and inked with lagoon and sage. 
Cut a second layer and curled the edges to create a 3-D Flower.
