To create my card, I used Central Park paper and the SOTM.The circle was cut using the largest "Stitched Circle Thin Cuts"

Here's is what I created using the card stock included in the workshop bundle.  I also used Artistry Cricut Cartridge available with the cartridge (Z3167) or digital (Z3190) to create the Rad Dad image for the card.

1/2 inch strips of almond and toffee, using both sides I really have 4 colors! - glitter paper for the cricut image "My Dad is RAD"  weaving strips of paper is a great way to use scraps.  I also added a little splash of toffee.

For this card, I layered the ink splatter (splash of color D1733)

with a strip of cardstock (Peacock CS X5958),

ribbon (Peacock-stitched ribbon Z4144)

and vellum (from Postcard Perfect Paper Pack (CC5181). 

I also used ink layers on the flowers and leaves (Beautiful You Z3384),

and the sentiment  (Central Park - Scrapbooking D1775)

I've been wanting to make this "Star Effects Standup Card" and thought the Postcard Perfect paper would be.... PERFECT!  You can use any sentiment,  I thought "count your blessings" was from the Flower Market stamp set, - but it's retired (D1705) I found I had "Love" (D1728) so added that also and updated this post!    

I'm enjoying a weekend with friends on a beach near Seabrook, WA.  I took off work for a 4 day weekend,  packed the Postcard Perfect papers, ink and some stamps... and then found that I left some supplies at home - over four hours away.   1) forgot the stamp set so fussy cut the flowers  and 2) added a touch of gold with the Shimmer Brush. (didn't have sequins or sparkles.) 

Here's a tutorial for the Star Card.

The base (black card stock) was cut at 5 X 6 - folded in 1/2 and then cut from the fold to the outside edge into a triangular base.

Slits to hold the insert were cut at 2 inches from the bottom corner and cut 3/4 inches deep (I made a small wedge).

Keep the two Triangles pieces that were cut from the 5X6 paper and decorate them with patterned paper triangles cut from a 4 3/4 X 5 3/4 rectangle cut in 1/2 the shorter width and then cut into 4 triangles, and decorate. These pieces are then glued into a "V" - see the photo. decorate as desired.

This card is mailed flat and will need instructions to set it up once opened. 

You can write a personal message on the back.

Last week I posted a card box with mini cards, gift tags and bookmarks.  It was just a quick attempt, but I liked where it was going and decided to create more for a "Make and Take" workshop.  So here goes "take two" on Picture My Life Cards.
The box is made using our Thin Cuts (Z4150). 
The paper for this month is Gimme Some Sugar (X7228B)

I also love Chelsea Gardens, apparently so did everyone else, the paper packet is no longer available, however, for a workshop I will use the bulk. and the PML cards from Gimme Some Sugar -  Another lesson; when you see what you like, get it immediately or it might not be available when you get "a round tuit!"  Look Mom!! no stamping!  I love fussy cutting and used the PML for background and embellishments.

I used the Picture My Life Cards-Be-YOU-tiful (Z4149)  That are used for the The Important Thing Everyday Life Album. These cards are lovely and versatile. I made the thin cuts gift box (Z4150) with the Gimme Some Sugar Paper and filled it with thin cuts tags (Z3344), mini cards, and bookmarks with Bashful and Juniper cardstock and decorated them with paper/flowers/sentiments from the PML Cards.

Celebrating Life in Christ through His death and resurrection. 

A favorite song by Bill Gather has these words;  

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow

Because He lives, all fear is gone

Because I know He holds the future

And life is worth the living, just because He lives.

My husband sang this song at my mother's funeral and our 

first born grandaughter's baptism.  It's a family favorite.
