This month we are featuring the Watercoloring technique. The Close to My Heart new Annual Inspirations Idea Book has just added an awesome line of watercolor products; paints, brushes (pg 148) and watercolor paper (pg147). It's a fun technique to explore; so many ways to add creative touches to our paper crafting.
If you have arrived from Haley Dyer's blog then you are in the right place. If you want to start at the beginning visit Melissa's blog, but if you want to keep hopping be assured you'll see it all, since it's a big circle.
This blog hop is just a big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.
Now hop over to Denise Elliot and see what amazing art she has created.
Thanks for stopping by. Please, be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my inspiration.
Nice sharp colors. Beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteAny tip to getting the brushstrokes as you have them? They are PERFECT! It looks great without the bling, totally unnecessary, because it looks great!
ReplyDeleteI used the wide brush, with the brush added water to wet the watercolors -did this twice to get it really wet. then came back with a wet brush and bushed across the paper with the brush at a 45 degree angle. Just let it flow. I stopped too early on the 2nd and 3rd which then became the logical place for the butterfly. thanks for the bling comment! good to know. I had seen a watercolor with water looking drops, really lovely.
DeleteSo pretty! It doesn't need the bling, but I like the added touch.
