The display tray inserts were designed by Tresa Black and taught in a class called "technique boutique" at Tresa's Creative University at Camp Luther Haven on Lake Coeur d'Alene last February.   I finally assembled it with pictures of Kaydon, Delia, Anthony, Don, and myself.  Love, Love that kid!

Operation Smile

During the CTMH Annual Convention, there were several auctions to raise funds for Operation Smile. I was honored to be asked to donate art work for our team meeting auction.  I actually raised $200 with this LOVE created using 4 of the My Creations 6"X6" canvas display boards and the For Always paper pack and matching For Always Textiles.  The letters were cut with the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and "fussy cut" for the sorbet and black layers.  The auction bid for the display I made was for $70, plus I was asked to make 2 more for a donation of $65 each.

I'll replace this photo when I get to take a better one. LOL

Celebrating the 4th

It's great to be back after my trip to Walt Disney World's Coronado Springs Resort for the CTMH Convention.  It was so much fun, lots of laughs and tons of inspiring creativity.   Fireworks every night.   My favorite new toy is the new Circut Cartridge, "Artbooking".   It was made for me!!   I love creating mini-albums and this cartridge has it all.   10 themed mini-albums: Festive, Halloween, Summer, Baby, Love, Elegance, Inspiration, Top Secret, Snapshots, and Travel (6X6, 6X7, 7X5, 6X8, 8X8, 8X3.5, 10X8, 11X8.5).   It also has 15 themes with two layouts each for 12X12 layouts making scraping truly faster and simpler.   Set the dial and everything you might need for a 12X12 layout is created proportionally for 2-2 page layouts using only 2 keys; that's 60 pages!  No more guessing on title sizes, accent sizes, etc!  Images include accents, borders, titles, overlays, photo mats (in standard photo sizes) and more!  Check out the Mini Album and 12X12 layout below that were beautifully made with this cartridge.

The 15 themes are Celebration, Nursery, Teamwork, Teen, Friendship, Wintertime, Holiday, Harvest, Spooky, School, Summertime, Freedom, Springtime, Together, and You and Me. June - A Month of Celebrations!

One of these days, I'm going to get the rhythm of regular to posting to my blog.  In the mean-time, I'm motivated to get back on board and actually have a weekend without any major plans!  Sometimes I think it would be so cool to have a maid, gardener and personal chef; Oh wait, that's right, I have Don!!!  He's getting really good at packing and unpacking the car for crops!  Today, I'm having a crop party of one, set up in the living room.  Hope to have some pictures to post by tomorrow.

So much to post and so little time......

Somehow I've lost an entire month!  I know I am having fun when I cannot find time to blog.  It all started in February; first with the new Idea Book paper and product exchange. I made 36 "Buzz and Bumble" layouts and in exchange got 35 cards and layouts using our newest papers and products in return.  That was followed by a 4 day retreat on Lake Coeur D'Alene at Camp Lutherhaven.  This was the third time I attended the Creative University Retreat put on by Tresa Black.  Not only is it a retreat in a beautiful setting with great friends; we also take classes and learn new techniques and work on projects into the wee hours of the night.  Keep checking this blog for some of these projects that I hope to post later this week.  Besides having fun crafting, I've been busy at work, teaching, and at church with the GEMS Girls Club (Girls Everywhere Meeting Their Savior).  We are currently raising funds for 5 counselors to attend the annual leadership conference in Vancouver, BC.  Early February, with the help of my counselors, we had a Potatoe Bar Dinner and Bunko Night.  Our latest fundraiser is selling flowers.  Check out the website.   http://www.flowerpowerfundraising.com/campaign?.q=campaign&campaign_id=15352

April and Spring appear to have arrived at the same time, so now it's hard to stay inside and get my projects finished.  They are going to have to wait at least until tomorrow since we have Kaydon, our youngest grandson visiting.  He's only 19 months and such a delight.  I can never get enough of that kid.  Oh for just 1/2 of his energy!

Happy, Happy New Year!

Don and I celebrated New Year's Eve with friends in Birch Bay.
First we lit flares around the bay as is the tradition for the past several years.


After a potluck dinner, games, and too many snacks, we watched the Seattle Fireworks.
So Amazing!  Wishing you the best in the NEW YEAR!  Happy 2013!
