Emboss It! - CTMH Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!
This month there are 9 of us highlighting the use of embossing techniques.  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating embossing techniques.  If you are coming from Catherine Nowak, you are on the right track!  If you get lost, MELISSA has a list of everyone on the bottom of her blog.
I used gold embossing powder on vellum for the flowers (Love Blossoms CC2199).  The sentiment was cut from the CTMH Cricut Artbooking font welding the letters.  I cut 4 copies and glued them together, then applied 3 layers of embossing powder one at a time to make it look like it's made from metal. I need to add one more layer to remove the smudge from when I dropped it while it was still hot. It's amazing it it all melts into a puddle.... so don't drop it while it's hot.

Now hop on over to Maz Wood's Blog to see what kind of babulous embossed art she's created.  Be sure to drop a comment, we enjoy the encouragement. I hope you enjoyed this hop.  If you see items you would like to purchase, contact your CTMH consultant or you can shop HERE.

Here we go!
I decided to create a card with the word "loved" from the stamp set that comes with the workshop kit, added a fussy- cut, sponge-colored, layered bouquet clustered against a gold glitter shaker with "Loved" stamped inside.  The gold shimmer brush was used to drop dots of gold in the center of the large flower. I used thistle and white daisy cardstock, with thistleNew England ivy and charcoal ink
