The Everything ABC Blog Hop -Letter - R

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter "R" This may be the name
of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has
chosen as their "R" element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Linda's blog ~ Scrappy Therapy

If you came from "Melissa Hegwood- Scrappin' More Mom"  then you're on the right track!

My R’s for this card are “Re-use, Recycle”, “Red Ruby” card stock, and “Retired”.  I’ve seen the dryer sheets and glitter technique used on cards and so decided it was time to give it a try.  I researching the “how-to”, I discovered there are basicially 3 ways to adhere the dryer sheet and glitter.  1)  Glue stick (which I used)  2) Spray adhesive, and 3) Zyron Adhesive.  While the glue is "wet" adhere both the dryer sheet and sprinkle with glitter.  That simple!  Here’s the finished product.  Just remember that some stamps lend themselves to showing through the dryer sheet and the "snowy effect" better than others and that a “wet” adhesive will need permanent ink for stamping to achieve a crisp image.

Finally! I have the photo to show the "dryer and glitter sheet technique".  Great for  a winter scene.  I got home late Sunday, 10 PM, it was an awesome weekend. Then needed to get up and work, I'm still wiped out!   I cannot wait to retire and I will be able to crop, blog and play with paper guilt free.

Addendum: 9/6/14
I arrived at Camp Ghormley at 8:30 last night, the internet was down, and I had just driven 5 1/2 hours - 3 hours from Bellingham to I-5 with traffic from "stop and go"  to "parking-lot" with occasional "near normal"/"speed limit" flow - CRAZY!!.  I was tired after the long trip plus a crazy busy week. So I'm working on cards and experimenting with techniques. This is the first one I finished.
The "R's"  Ruby Red cardstock and ink, Roses, Random, Repeated stamping on a Triple Stamp Card. I found these on You Tube and Pinterest.

The stamp set I used for the roses and leaves was
