Share the Seasons Blog Hop

Welcome to the CTMH "Share the Seasons" Blog Hop. The Share the Seasons Special was designed in celebration of National Stamping Month, CTMH is introducing exclusive stamp sets and Thin Cuts metal dies to help you prepare for the festive seasons ahead. So hear we go....
If you came here from Alyson Mayo's blog you are on the right path!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda's Blog HERE.  This month we have 15 CTMH consultants sharing their creations using CTMH Share the Seasons special  with other great CTMH products on their blogs.  This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!   Here we go!

If you know me, you know I'm "time challenged".  I leave to room for an emergency, traffic, computer glitches, etc.  You get the idea, so when I couldn't find my Share the Seasons stamps and thin cuts as I was packing to go the Julie Reynolds weekend retreat, after looking for an hour, I gave up and was sure that Julie or another customer or consultant would have what I needed and I could still complete this challenge.  The trip through Seattle was "stop and go" adding another lost hour. ....Once I got to the retreat, I learned that Julie didn't have the stamp, neither did a couple others, I was feeling worried I couldn't get posted, then learned a friend did have the die and stamps!! Whoo Hooo!  I quickly went to work and posted what I could do with complications getting on the internet, the conference site wifi wasn't letting me log in.  I was about to use my hot spot, but got connected through xfinity!  I love technology, but sometimes it's a disappointment.  I was exhausted, not totally happy with my card and immediately after posting added some doodle borders.

I had used the Wisteria Shimmer Brush on the edge of the Wisteria CS and had some on the butterfly and decided to add more.  Here's a close up.
I wanted to make a Thank You card for Tara who had loaned me her stamps and thin cut.  I'm liking what I saw on this hop and decided to CASE (Copy and Steal/Share Everything) from the card created by Wendy Kessler (find it here).  It is so stinking cute!! The snow men in the windows are absolutely adorable.  I didn't include everything, check Wendy's her blog....  She included an amazing tutorial that melts embossing powder using laminating pouches an idea she shared from Jennifer McGuire’s video.
Here's my version of the snow men from Share the Season and a big THANKS to Tara!
I stamped the snowflakes on velum, slathered the Julep CS with the Julep Shimmer Brush.  I love our new embossing pens and brush.  I used the brush to add clear embossing powder to the clip, the word "grateful" and the leaves.  I colored the leaves, wreath, ribbon, and light-bulbs with ink and a watercolor brush, then, on the Christmas bulbs, I added a touch of liquid glass.  On the clip, I added twine That I dyed with Julep and and under the "windows" I added a strip of silver glitter trim (Temporary unavailable, expected early October) cut in half - just tape it on the Paper Cutter trim it evenly into 1/2 or even 1/3 for a narrow strip. The Julep velvet ribbon is the final touch completing a lovely, one of a kind, Thank You card.

Now "Hop" on over to Katy Taylor's blog to see her work!  Be sure to visit all the consultants on their blogs to get some great crafting ideas Please leave a comment, we love your encouragement.  To get any of the products you see, contact your CTMH consultant or click HERE.

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - "It's in the Script!"

Welcome to the CTMH Technique Blog Hop!
This month there are 9 CTMH consultants using a variety of "Scripts"; such as stamp sets or penmanship in their artwork.  CTMH has several new "script" related products such as stamp sets or new products by Melisa Esplin (Z3603).
This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating "scripts".  If you are coming from Miss. Carrie's Creations, you are on the right track!  If you get lost, you can find the list on the bottom of Melissa's blog.
The shimmer brushes are great to add glitter to the script.  I used both the new Julep and Wisteria.
The script is a card from the Every Little Thing Picture My Life cards (X7248E) . I cut the script card to fit inside the PML card with the frame and sponge-inked the edges with Wisteria ink.  The butterfly was from the sticker page Every Little Thing sticker page. (X7248S)
I add some Wisteria ink with a watercolor brush and topped it with some stickles glitter.
Now hop on over to Cat Nowak's Blog to see what kind of fabulous script techniques she's created.  Be sure to drop a comment, we enjoy the encouragement. I hope you enjoyed this hop.  If you see items you would like to purchase, contact your CTMH consultant or you can shop HERE. I just got the Melisa Esplin (Z3603) bundle yesterday!! You can get it for 50% off with a qualifying gathering.  I cannot wait to practice doing my own script.
